We made garlic knots today. It reminded me that I have completely neglected this baking project for the last few weeks. You see, our November was super busy. It was one of those months that goes by in a flash.
These garlic knots are super easy to make. I got the recipe from Chef Ani. She is quickly becoming my favorite online chef.
What I like most about this recipe is that you put it together in five minutes. Then, you have to let the dough rise for one hour. You walk away and homeschool.
When you come back, you divide the dough into four pieces. Working with each one at a time, you divide each one into eight more pieces. Honestly, that seemed like too many. I think we only got about 4 or 5 out of each one quarter of the original disk of dough.
Are garlic knots supposed to be super small, like bite size? I did not think so. Looking at other recipes online, it does not look like it. One particular recipe separates the dough into four pieces. Then, each piece is separated into halves. That makes only 8 knots, not bite size.
Anyway, regardless of their size, these are unbelievably delicious. My kids loved them and they enjoyed playing with the dough. We shall make them again soon.
