This week, I would like to feature our daughter and two of her endeavors: sewing and harp. We have always encouraged our children to pursue what they enjoy, especially as they grew older.
Our daughter asked for sewing lessons and I found a friend who was willing to come to our house once a week to teach. This has been going on for at least a year now and our daughter is getting better and better at it.
As far as harp, our daughter asked for lessons when she was very young, around age 7. By then, she was already taking piano and violin and we said no to her request for a third instrument.
Fast forward five years and she dropped piano for harp, in 2022. One year later, in 2023, she dropped violin lessons so she could focus solely on the harp. She loves it and has graduated from a lever harp to a pedal harp in record time. Eight years of two other instruments… not for nothing…
