Don’t you love the last week of the calendar year? You don’t “have to” do anything. You get to spend time with your family, friends, drink hot chocolate, binge some shows while throwing popcorn in your mouth, and generally be of good cheer. We are looking forward into the future.
Grateful for my family
The news reminds us that homeschooling is on the rise. School safety, indoctrination, and a global pandemic have pushed our numbers ever higher in the last few years.
Parents want a custom education for their children. The Industrial Age model of public education does not fit the AI or Information Age we find ourselves in.
What a privilege to shape our children’s minds and worldview by pouring into them as homeschool parents.
When I see the product of homeschooling in my own children, I am proud of what I have achieved. They organize their schedules, start a project, finish a project, and help around the house. My children have friends and hobbies. They have integrated themselves into our local community but also in our global village.
Let’s keep on keeping on, homeschool moms! I will only have one child to homeschool come January 2026. What about you?
