Affiliate Links
Some posts on Homeschool Ways contain affiliate links. This means that if you click on a link and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. These commissions help keep the blog running, and I’m grateful for your support. I only recommend products or services I genuinely believe in.
Sponsored Content and Advertising
Occasionally, I may collaborate with brands or companies for sponsored posts or advertisements, which will always be clearly identified as such. My commitment to providing honest, valuable content to my readers remains my top priority.
Verification of Claims
Any product claims, statistics, quotes, or representations about products or services mentioned on this blog should be verified with the manufacturer, provider, or relevant party. I strive to provide accurate information but encourage readers to do their own research.
No Conflicts of Interest
This blog does not contain content that presents a conflict of interest. My goal is to provide trustworthy, helpful information to support your homeschooling journey.
Thank you for reading Homeschool Ways and for your trust and support!
I hope you’re well.
I wanted to introduce myself as the newest staff member at the Science Olympiad National Office, and I wanted to ensure that you were aware of our new initiative this year: MY SO.
MY SO is perfectly suited to homeschoolers who want to keep up their STEM skills during a year where we probably won’t see a lot of our normal in-person tournaments or meetings. It covers a new STEM topic each month with free lesson plans, resources, and career exploration videos to help families dive deeper into topics such as epidemiology, engineering, weather and plants. Curriculum is aligned with NGSS standards and prepares students to compete in the STEM Showdown, an online national competition at the end of each month (tickets are $10).
Program components and downloads are available here: https://www.soinc.org/myso
Since anyone can download, use, and register for MY SO activities, this is also a great way for non-Science Olympiad families to become familiar with Science Olympiad. If you have ideas of other ways we can spread information to the homeschooling community, I’d be very grateful!
Thank you,
Katrina

Thank you for this info. I will send it to our group and everywhere else on social media. My children are part of a SO team. 🙂
