Healthy Recipes

It occurs to me that I should share some of the recipes that make our homeschooling easier. They are healthy, vegan or ovo-lacto-vegetarian, sometimes gluten-free, and quick to make. Now and then, I will also share recipes that may take a little longer to make, with the idea that you can always prepare these ahead of time.

Oven Fries

Oven fries are easy to make and a lot healthier than their deep-fried cousins.

This is not a food blog, so please bear with my photography. These posts are meant to help you prepare nutritious meals and inspire you to eat healthier, not to win Best Food Photography awards.

Start a Meatless Monday at your house or, at the very least, sneak in a meatless meal now and then. Do not even tell your children about it. Sometimes children (and adults) have mental blocks about foods they think they do not like.

The idea is for your children (and yourself) to learn to eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and to avoid extra fat and sugar. Your brain and the rest of your body will thank you, as you add more natural foods to your diet. I daresay your homeschooling will be better if your blood quality improves through whole foods over time.
